Doga is a North Emperor, one of Ariel's Seven Knights and husband of Isolte Cruel.

Appearance[]

Doga's face is simple, not crude. He has the appearance of someone naïve, who cannot deceive others.

He has a very tall yet broad figure, to the point that he was mistaken for an ogre.

Personality[]

Doga is a very calm person. According to Rudeus, he appears to be unable to read the atmosphere. He is a man of few words -- when he does talk, he speaks in a stuttered manner.

He isn't very bright, but is honest to a fault and very persistent when it comes to his goals. As such, he is deeply loyal to his position and loved ones.

Background[]

Doga was born in the Donati Province of the Asura Kingdom. He was a little slow and treated like a henchman by the other kids. His father was a soldier, who spent most of his days outside, and his mother died after giving birth to their younger sister.

After his mother's death, Doga cried for several days. When he stopped crying, he began training with the goal of protecting his sister. His weapon is an ax that was near his house. One day, a magical beast attacked the village. Doga defended his house and although his arm ended up broken, he managed to kill the beast. From then on, Doga took it upon himself to work and protect the village.

With ten years, Doga began to work worked for a time as a soldier, looking for money to take care of his sister since his father had died during the metastasis incident. He was promoted after killing some thieves and was charged with defending the city gate. During Ariel's coronation, a mysterious man tried to enter the city. The mysterious man, Kalman II, defeated all the soldiers and decided to take Doga as a disciple.

Soon after, he was personally recruited by Ariel as one of the Seven Knights of Asura at the recommendation of Kalman II. Doga's post is guarding the King's Chamber where he is known as the King's Gatekeeper.

Volume 23: Young Man Period - Decisive Battle Chapter[]

Sent by Ariel, he joined Rudeus alongside Sandor (Kalman II) on his journey to the Beheiril Kingdom. They traveled without being stopped by monsters. When they reached the second city, they settled for a few days before continuing their journey. After leaving the city and entering the forest, they were attacked by invisible monsters. They defeat them without problems and meet a member of the Superd Tribe. Although Doga was afraid of the Superd, she worked to care for the sick. Days later, they all set out in search of help to heal the tribe.

Two people (Gal Farion and Kalman III) were sent by the king to approve the existence of the Superd tribe. Doga was put to sleep with pills so that he cannot get up and arrives just as Rudeus, with his arms cut off, falls from the bridge. Doga jumped up and saved Rudeus. On his way back, Doga slays dragons with one blow. In the end, they found an ancient cave and were able to escape to return to the Superd tribe.

Later, Doga and Zanoba face the Ogre God. Despite being a 2v1, they were unable to defeat him. They were brutally beaten and in the end, saved by Atofe. In the fight against Kalman III, Doga couldn't hold out even after being healed by Rudeus and withdrew.

After the fight, his relationship with the Superds improved. Doga stayed in the city while Rudeus and his group went to the city to speak with the king. When he heard of Sándor's defeat by Badigadi, he wept. He participated in the second match against Badigadi, but was defeated after Cliff. He is cured by Sylphi and later, along with Zanoba, they led an unconscious Cliff to the Superd tribe.

Redundancy: Story of The Seven Knights of Asura[]

Kalman II names Doga North King and also decides that Doga and Isolte were to have a match. Doga tirelessly swings his axe against Isolte but she effortlessly countered and Doga is eventually defeated. During their battle Doga admits the Isolte is worthy of protect the King's Door in his stead and at the same time, he realizes that Isolte is graceful and a lovely flower that Doga has fallen in love with.

Doga works as Ariel's bodyguard as one of the Seven Knights of Asura. When Doga inspects Isolte, he leaves her sword and doesn't touch her. At that moment, he caught the attention of Isolte, who is looking for someone to marry. After the hearing, Doga offers her cold water in a very attentive way. Doga has been in love with Isolte ever since he met her in a sparring match, when Doga was not yet even a North King.

At a dinner with her brother-in-law, Hans, Doga indirectly told him about his feelings for Isolte. Hans insisted that he should go and ask Isolte to marry her right now, but Doga disagreed as he thinks he's not up to the task. After a little discussion, Doga was convinced to confess his love.

Doga went personally to the Isolte dojo dressed in formal clothes and a bouquet of flowers. He pleaded but was rejected, even after telling his whole story, as Isolte had promised Ariel to marry someone royalty. Doga decides to retire as a knight and declares himself to Isolte again. This time, Isolte realizes how much Doga loves her and decides to accept his feelings.

  • As a North Emperor, Doga is a very powerful person. It uses a large ax as a weapon instead of a sword, and is capable of defeating dragons and monsters in one hit. According to his teacher, his specialty is hunting monsters.
