Family Squabble (親子げんか Oyako-genka) is the sixteenth episode of the Mushoku Tensei anime series originally broadcasted on October 31, 2021.

Synopsis

Rudeus and his friends arrive at Millicion, the capital of the Holy Land of Millis. As Rudeus decides to stay for a while to raise funds, as he strolls around the city, he finds a child being kidnapped. He follows the kidnappers to save the child, and gets into a fight with them, but it turns out that someone he knows well is involved.

Differences with the light novel:

• A minor explanation of how the city of Millishion is organized and how work was cut.
• In the anime Geese leave the group before they enter to the city, meanwhile, in the Light novel after they enter.
• The anime add a scene where Rudeus proposes a plan to increase the Reputation of Ruijerd with giving a Ruijerd Statue as a charm to persons that they help.
• A short scene where Rudeu explores the market of the city and thinks about what happened to the other persons in Roa was cut.
  • In the Light novel, Rudeus finds about the kidnapping in his exploration.
• The battle between Rudeus and Paul and his me was a little longer in the light novel .
  • Rudeus use the magic icicle field to decrease the temperature against Vierra.
  • Vierra and Shierra support for a short time Paul in the fight against Rudeus.
