The Greyrat bloodline is a prominent old noble family of the Asura Kingdom divided into 4 Noble Houses, Notos, Boreas, Euros, Zephyrus. who protect all the sides of the kingdom and has many branch families.
Background[]
The Greyrat Family can be traced back to the Asura Kingdom's royal family and it is known that the men of the Greyrat bloodline are particularly infamous for their sex drive and perversion; Luke Notos Greyrat, Paul Greyrat and Rudeus Greyrat all being notable examples of this. Various branches of the Greyrat line are known for having specific preferences in women. For example, the Notos branch has a fetish for large boobs, while the Boreas branch has a fetish for beast people.[1]
The name Greyrat is not unusual to any degree in Asura Kingdom due to the family's fondness for women and hearing a lower noble's daughter or maid conceiving a child in order to become a mistress is a common thing to hear. Thus, it is allowed for those mistresses to also call themselves Greyrat. To distinguish the upper nobilities, they decided that the names of the protectors of Asura will be called: Notos, Boreas, Euros and Zephyrus as the four main branches of Greyrat family.
For nobles who wish to establish themselves, they need to have blood relations with one of these four main branches of the Greyrat Family which is a common practice to be working towards that end. But despite the Greyrat being an ordinary name, the talk becomes different when its a talk about a genius.[2]

There are also instances where family members of the upper nobility would sever their ties to their family and would willing be called Greyrat like Paul who severed his ties to the Notos Family and became an Adventurer[3] and Eris who severed ties with the Boreas Family after learning the death of Sauros Boreas Greyrat and decides to go to the Holy Land of Swords since none of the remaining Boreas would adopt her.[4]

Notos Family[]
The Notos Family are the branch in charge of the Milbots Region under the lordship of Pilemon Notos Greyrat and where Paul and Rudeus descended from. Famous as the land of alcohol and has a gigantic brewing site. Although beer is a regular commodity in the Asura Kingdom, most of the wine consumed in celebrations are produced in Milbots.[5]

Boreas Family[]
The Boreas Family are the branch in charge of the Fittoa Region that is ruled by Sauros Boreas Greyrat and grandfather of Eris, later succeeded by James Boreas Greyrat. The Boreas are in charge of the Fittoa Region that is famous as the land of perfume but after the Teleport Incident, almost the entire area vanished.[5]
The Boreas Family are aligned with the First Prince Faction where Sauros always criticizes Pilemon Notos Greyrat as he believes that Paul is a more suitable head of the Notos Family.[2]

Background[]
After Paul left the Notos household he married Zenith Latreia and they moved together with their maid Lilia to Buena Village. There they had a son named Rudeus and he was so talented in magic that they got him a teacher named Roxy Migurdia. Paul and Zenith had a daughter named Norn and due to an affair Paul and Lilia had a daughter named Aisha whereupon Paul took Lilia as his second wife.

Background[]
After he reunited with her at the Ranoa Magic Academy Rudeus married his childhood friend Sylphiette. They bought a House and Rudeus' father Paul sent his sisters Norn and Aisha to live with him and Sylphy. Rudeus went to the Begarrit Continent to help his father save Zenith in a Labyrinth where he also reunited with Roxy. Paul died but they were able to save Zenith and Rudeus took Lilia and Zenith to his home and took Roxy as his second wife. Shortly after Rudeus and the others returned, Sylphiette gave birth to a girl named Lucy.
