This is the twenty-third volume of the Mushoku Tensei light novel, which covers the Fourth Child arc. Its contents corresponds to the latter half of volume 22 of the web novel.

TO THE HEAVENS: THE TRIAL OF PERUGIUS
The fourth child Sieghard was born, with the same green hair as Laplace. However, one of the Perugius familiars who witnessed the scene, told to Rudeus and the others to come to the sky citadel with the baby.
"If this kid grows up and really causes a war with the human race then I will deal with it ... "Rudeus tries to prepare himself for his family.

- This volume covers the last 4 chapter of Web Novel Vol 22
- In the web novel, in a short event, Sieg was baptized in Perugius' castle, while in the light novel Perugius gave Rudeus a trial, and he travelled with his wives and Sieg to an old Ruins of the Laplace in the Divine Continent, and Sieg was baptized there.
