Magic Spells

Magic Spells (詠唱, Eishō, alt. "Incantations") are the various supernatural effects created by the art of Magic by utilizing Mana residing inside a body. Magic Spells are divided into three categories, namely: Attack, Healing, and Summoning magic. Attack Magic has largest number of spells while Summoning has the least.

Melded Magic are a high-tier category where the spells are a composite of at least two or more Attack spells. Mastery of this type of spells require at least Advanced level proficiency at one school of Attack magic.

Special Magic are those type of spells which do not fit into the three main categories. This type of spell cannot be taught normally to a mage and its mastery is generally unique to a handful of persons.

Sand Cloud		Materializes an earth bullet that travels to a target and explodes causing a cloud of sand to appear in its area that causes difficulty in breathing and reduces visibilty. Inhaling the cloud also disrupts the use of abilities.
Stone Cannon 岩砲弾ストーンキャノン	Intermediate	Materializes and launches a piece of bullet shaped rock in high speed. Stone Cannon is one of Rudeus' signature spells that when he set the projectile hardness, spinning speed, and travel speed at maximum, it is able to break through even Orsted and Badigadi's Battle Aura. Earth Fortress 土砦アースフォートレス	Advanced	Creates a fortress of earth around the user.. Earth Fortress require Mana to maintain or it will crumble but Rudeus modified his Earth Fortress to be shaped like an igloo that will hold itself together and no longer requires Mana after casting. Earth Lance 土槍アースランサー	Intermediate	Summons an earthen spike that rises from the ground. Earth Hedgehog 土針鼠アースヘッジホグ	Advanced	Summons a large number of earthen spikes from the ground to impale enemies. Earth Hedgehog can also be used by creating a small sphere then launch it to its target and create the earthen spikes on the target area.	Rudeus using Earth Hedgehog.
Dust storm 砂塵嵐ダストストーム	Advanced	Conjures a dusty storm.
Sandstorm 砂嵐サンドストーム	Saint	Conjures a fierce torrent of sand and wind blanketing a wide area, or stops an existing sandstorm.

Bora Blast 寒冷突風ボラブラスト	Icicle Field + Blast	Release a strong gust of freezing wind to disable the enemy.

Barrier

Spirit-Sealing Barrier	Saint	The barrier that's able to prevent undead monsters from leaving a confined space. It might not able to fully confine a high level wraith.
Confinement Barrier	King	The barrier that confines the target individual within it. Magic is rendered unusable inside, and it is highly resistant against physical and magical attacks from the outside.	Confinement Barrier in the Anime.
Badigadi's Sealing Barrier	Divine	The barrier developed by Perugius to seal the Demon God. It is powered by Badigadi's mana and amplified by the King Dragon Sword Kajakut and the Fighting God Armor, It divided Badigadi's flesh into five parts and sealed in separate locations, whereas the barrier confining Badigadi's main body cannot be released without releasing the remaining parts.
Illusion Barrier	Unknown	Illusion Barrier is used by the Dragon Tribe to protect the Teleportation Circle Ruins through out the Human World from outsiders by concealing its entrance with an illusion to erect another scenery and blends with its surroundings. Like most barriers, it uses a medium to maintain its effect like a monument bearing the emblem of Saint Dragon General Szilard found in Lumen Forest near Sharia. To release the Illusion Barrier, Mana must be poured on the tablet by putting your hand on the tablet and reciting the incantation that is only known by the Dragon Tribe members and Nanahoshi Shizuka and is a closely guarded secret since Teleportation Magic is forbidden. Monster Summon 魔獣召喚	Orsted, Perugius Dola, Rudeus Greyrat	Summons an existing creature in the world using magic circles. The magic is bound by covenant upon founding that prohibits summon of intelligent humanoid races. It is possible to specify conditions when performing the summon, but summoning creatures that has more mana than the summoner is difficult and has the risk of the creature losing control. Spirit Summon 精霊召喚	Perugius Dola, Rudeus Greyrat	Creates a spirit out of user's mana that functions according to the user's design, similar to computer programming. The summoned spirit would cease to exist upon mana depletion under normal circumstances, but it is possible to summon highly intelligent and powerful spirits that could last for hundreds of years using secret arts developed by Armored Dragon King Dora.
Otherworld Summon 異世界召喚	Nanahoshi Shizuka	Summons an object or organism from another world (earth in particular). It is only achievable by using highly complex multi-layered magic circle. The more complex the intended summoning subject is, the larger and more complicated the magic circle becomes.	A successfully summoned watermelon.
Summon Lamplight Spirits	Nanahoshi Shizuka, Rudeus Greyrat, Perugius Dola	Summon radiant spirits that fly up and circle around the caster to provide light in dark areas. The light from the spirits is brighter than a torch which removes the reliance for them that is also a hindrance since one of your hands is sealed off by holding a torch. The spell also works even with little magic power applied to it that it lasts a long time even when used by Paul Greyrat or Geese Nukadia making it seem like the consumed magic power is almost nothing. Nanahoshi gives Rudeus a Summon Light Spirit scroll which he uses on the Teleport Labyrinth and later starts drawing new magic circles for the spell when their stocks run out. Nuclear Explosion 核爆発	Rudeus Greyrat	Unique magic created by Rudeus, capable of creating a very powerful explosion.	Rudeus casting Nuclear Explosion.

Teleportation Magic 転移魔術	Orsted, Rudeus Greyrat, Perugius Dola etc.	Allows the user to travel to corresponding sites almost instantaneously using magic circles. There are three types of them: bi-directional, single-directional, and random teleportation circles.
Electric 電撃エレクトリック	Rudeus Greyrat	Miniaturized version of Lightning that shocks and paralyzes opponents with electricity. Since electricity affects nervous system directly, it is capable of bypassing the target's Battle Aura defense.	Rudeus casting Electric
Time Travel Magic 過去転移魔術	Future Rudeus	A special magic developed from Teleportation Magic that allows the user to warp to the past, using a certain object as a marker. It consumes an enormous amount of mana to travel back for even a short period of time. When the user's mana is insufficient, he might end up leaving certain body parts behind. Gravity Magic 重力魔術	Future Rudeus, Kalman III	Magic that manipulates gravity, enabling the users to fly or levitate objects.
Hypnosis Magic 催眠魔術	Orsted	A hypnosis magic passed down among the Nuka Tribe that put a person to sleep.

Incantations

The usual length of a magic's Incantation is the higher the rank, the longer the Incantation is. For example, an Elementary Rank Water Magic Incantation has only a few sentences while a God Rank Detoxification Spell can be long enough to be in a book as thick as a dictionary.

Trivia

• Cumulonimbus' name is taken from the cloud types Cumulus (fluffy cotton like clouds) and Nimbus (dark rain clouds)
• The chant for Dragon Gate and Illusion Barrier references Saint Dragon General Szilard who has green and silver scales and is the second Dragon General to die while describing his injury after battling the First Dragon God.
