Shirotaka (シロタカ, lit. "White Hawk"), sometimes also spelled as Sirotaka, is a Japanese illustrator and character designer best known for their work on Mushoku Tensei as the illustrator for the light novel.
Career[]
Shirotaka gained initial prominence through uploading illustrations on Pixiv during a brief period in 2011. They made their major debut in January of 2014 as the illustrator for the light novel series Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (無職転生 - 異世界行ったら本気だす) written by Rifujin na Magonote. Other than Mushoku Tensei, they have also worked on the light novel Netogehai Akuma no Negai Kanaemasu (ネトゲ廃悪魔の願い叶えます) written by Ubune Coma, which was also released in June of the same year.
In 2015, their career as an accomplished illustrator was followed by another light novel Ore no Ibukuro wa Kanojo ni Nigirareteiru (俺の胃袋は彼女に握られている) written by Mochitsuki Nozomu. And in 2016, they worked on Gyakuten Shoukan: Urasettei made Shiritsukushita Isekai ni Gakkou Goto Shoukan Sarete (逆転召喚～裏設定まで知り尽くした異世界に学校ごと召喚されて), a light novel series written by Mikawa Ghost.
They have also been credited as the base character designer for the Manga adaptations of the Mushoku Tensei light novels, and for the drafts of the Anime.
